SPRING LACROSSE SEASON

Ages
Our ages are Kindergarten through 8th grade. Younger grades are co-ed, older grades are gender specific. Players with no experience are welcome and encouraged.
Our TYLA Spring Season is open for players of all experience levels. Beginner and experienced players are welcome.
When
Our spring season begins on February 17th and ends on May 9th. We practice two times a week early evening and play games Saturday mornings and afternoon.
Where
We practice at Jefferson Elementary School or the Leonard Center in Greensboro. Games are played at PCLA partner sites in Guilford, Forsyth, Davidson, Davie, and Alamance Counties.
Practices
K-2 Practice Monday and Wednesday at the Leonard Center on Ballinger Road from 4:30-5:30pm
All other teams will practice twice a week 5:30pm till 7:00pm twice a week Monday through Thursday depending on the team.
Games
Games are played on Saturday morning and afternoons at PCLA partner fields in the Triad.
Equipment and Jerseys
We play with protective equipment for all genders and ages. We can provide players with all the equipment needed for FREE. A fully refundable security deposit of $75 is required. Reversible pinnies are provided as part of the registration fee.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if my child has never played before?
New players are our specialty! No experience? No worries. We cover the basics of lacrosse in an age appropriate way.
What equipment do I need to start?
If you need equipment we will provide it for FREE. This includes a helmet, arm pads, shoulder pads, gloves and a lacrosse stick. Your child will need to provide a mold-able mouth-guard and athletic shoes to provide traction on grass fields. A hard cup and athletic supporter is highly recommended for boys. We even provide a pinnie.
What if my child is beyond the basics?
Great! We can coach your child in the higher level skills and strategies on one of our tournament teams in the fall or summer. We have sessions that fit your child's age and experience.
2024 Spring PCLA Season
Our TYLA spring season plays against Piedmont Community Lacrosse Association (PCLA) competition. Our PCLA partner sites are in Guilford, Forsyth, Davidson, Davie, and Alamance Counties. We practice in Greensboro two nights a week with games on Saturdays starting February 17 and ending May 9th. We expect to have teams for boys and girls K-8th grade.
